…Yup. It’s time for me to put a new dream journal by my bed and write in it first thing every morning. Thanks for this reminder. I haven’t been paying attention.
REALLY? I have them all the time. Hidden rooms and all! To me there’s a knowledge I have about what it all means—and it feels almost supernatural or telepathic. I believe that the hidden rooms hold our untapped gifts. (Also, we’re for sure soul sisters.) Xox
"Also, we’re for sure soul sisters." Yep. 100% for sure. My hidden rooms mostly feel very creepy, eerie, like, I don't want to enter. Sometimes, it's a tiny hole in the bedroom wall that leads to a room that I have never been in...or sometimes there is a house that I have just moved into, but there are rooms that still hold all of the person's stuff (the person who lived there previously). Super cluttered and not nice other people's stuff. Or, I want to get to a really lovely, newly renovated room, but I have to walk through a super creepy, basement room (where people who don't have homes live) to get to the nice, new room...mostly my house dreams are creepy/scary. I'm going to sit with this. I am immediately thinking these dreams mean that my gifts are hidden in the scary, hidden, unlooked at places inside of myself. Super interesting. Hmmm....
Wow, Julia. That is so interesting. I wonder if the other people's stuff/unhoused people stuff is you handling energy that isn't yours. Yes, sit with it. See what happens. Last week I went to bed asking for a dream--which I rarely do. I wanted to dream about my dog Bunker who died 18 years ago. I dreamt that I was in a house that was mine but one that in my waking life I didn't recognize. Then I found a small door that went to a basement and down there were about 15 golden retriever puppies. Then next to that room was a door to another room which was literally a gift shop filled with amazing books about stars and gardens and galaxies--but the everything was covered with an inch of dust. Then I went into a third room which was being utterly pummeled by the ocean--was replete with yellow ocean foam all over the walls and windows. I took it to mean that Bunker was one of my gifts--that his spirit is always with me in spades, and that there are gifts to access if I am brave enough to keep going. Not sure what to make of the ocean room aside from some fears about global warming maybe? Or that often exploring the gifts comes in waves? Or is difficult? Don't know. We need to start a dream chat between us. :)
Wow, Julie. I love the idea of asking for a dream. It’s all so fascinating. I learned some amazing dream work “stuff” (for lack of a better word) through my Martha Beck Wayfinder training…it’s super powerful. I love the message that came to you about your beloved Bunker. There’s so much to talk about here!
But I wake and forget
Wake and do nothing.

Yes! I wonder if we could start a dream sharing thread. Could be really interesting.
I have had so many wild, very vivid "house" dreams, Julie. Hidden rooms is one of the recurring themes.
Pay attention, she says,
I’m telling you something.
Thank you for this important reminder. There is so much to be learned from dreams.
