When Everything Changes
from Out With Lanterns, a daily poetry practice
Become water. Like water, let yourself run wherever you are pulled. No resistance, just the release of your spine as you let your body glide along this new terrain. Wait patiently for iridescent dragonflies to dance above. Reflect the sky. Let the wind ripple your surface. Marvel at the water birds landing so smoothly, diving under, dashing, hunting. Honor how the shape of you always offers so much, is so capable of transformation.

Wow! this is very powerful! Thank you!
Gorgeous. Julie,
I'd love to publish this poem in the Awakening anthology I'm building. I wrote to you about it, but haven't heard back from you.
