What did you do that for? You came in all soft and easy– golden sunrise, routine dog walk, a few chores, raisins and yogurt, then my heart got walloped for no good reason, none. Left with that awful sourness– walked around looking like I did just hours before but feeling so different. So scared. Sacred scared. I know, Day. I know. The only constant is change. But today’s only solace came remembering that this feeling is not permanent. This will not last forever. Goodnight. And please don’t try that again tomorrow.

Freakin’ love this! And honestly, I’m not a fan of poetry but I am LOVING yours. I love this piece. I often say to myself “This will not last forever.” I LOVE the line break at “…remembering that this feeling is
not permanent.” Soo good.
