Every poem is a gift from you, but something hit me a little differently with today's poem. Perhaps it's simply the yearning to be "untethered" and outside in Nature. Yes, AND your words, holy cow. Especially:
"We walked through a grove of redwoods
where the mother tree had fallen.
Her children stood tall around her,
holding vigil. Nothing lasts.
She whispered: Let your roots loosen.
The coyotes care nothing for you. "
