Our daughters weren’t home so my husband and I dusted off the bikes and rode them around town like little kids. We biked to a brewery for beers and a burger. We biked to a friend’s house for a barbecue. It’s nothing remarkable, except that I noticed how he rode in front, turning back every block to make sure I was ok, how he pointed out potholes and reminded me, as we turned onto a busy street, to watch for opening car doors. He doesn’t want anything to happen to me, wants me safe. Such tenderness. Such a blessing to be so carefully loved.

Such tenderness indeed, Julie. Preciousness. I love these little, holy glimpses into your life. xo
