When the house burnt down, they built
again, added a sunroom.

When her hair fell out, it grew
back with wild curls she adored.

When they lost the baby, they held
each other tighter at sundown.

The world is not ending, but
a world is ending.

Now, we build, grow, hold tight–
make a new world from rubble.

Below is last week’s audio content for paid subscribers. I talk about one of last week’s poems, about the funk I’m currently wading through, and give some thoughts on the “rules” of writing, creating, and making. Thank you eternally, paid subscribers! If you’d like access to the weekly audio drops, you can upgrade here.
