Boredom
from Out With Lanterns, a daily poetry practice
Boredom is endangered, at high risk of extinction. My species overfed, too full with colors, sounds, speeding through images, ravenous for the next. My idea forest clear-cut. Staring out the window, wondering what to do is a distant memory. I am too basely occupied. I let time get stolen, and I’m sorry about it. Oh god, what could I have done, made, been, if only I’d let myself do nothing?

So true!
So important!
